Epilepsy Early Education & Awareness Project Implementation
By Sharon Smith | President
We are excited to introduce our new program! This program provide individuals with epilepsy and their families, education about the consequences of epilepsy, and skills development in self-management are essential components for helping individuals become better partners in patient-centered care. People with epilepsy and their families are often not educated about epilepsy's risks, including injury and mortality. Parents of children with epilepsy need information about the disorder and available support resources. Children and youth with epilepsy, as they get older, need increasing information about the disorder and its implications for their future. However, actions are needed to improve education for people with epilepsy and their families include evaluating available educational resources, such as implementing early epilepsy education and awareness program within our schools. Therefore, please help us continue our mission!
