The international Global Partnership for Violence Prevention Education (GPVPE) www.headofthesnake.org is a 2018 initiative of YotuhAlert! (YA!) a Nonprofit Public Charity and 501 (c) (3) Organization in Lexington, Kentucky.
The purpose of the GPVPE is to bring model in-school universal cross-cutting violence, bullying and abuse
prevention education to all 2.5 billion children and youth of the world. According to the latest independent research, this type of programming is the best solution to reducing school violence and all youth violence.
During the summer of 2018 GPVPE have been working hard on the possible U.S. ratification of the U.N. 1989 Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) so the 72 million U.S. children and teenagers won't be the only ones left out of its 30-year anniversary on November 20, 2019, 438 days from now.
Also, GPVPE is working to add additional text into this year's Rights of the Child resolution in the UN 73rd General Assembly adding more language about in-school universal cross-cutting child and youth violence prevention education, instruction and curriculum.
YouthAlert! (YA!) was successful in adding the following 112-word paragraph which describes model universal cross-cutting violence prevention education in last years 2017 Rights of the Child Resolution passed in the U.N. 72nd General Assembly on December 24, 2018.
“To accelerate efforts to scale up scientifically accurate age-appropriate comprehensive education, relevant to cultural contexts, that provides adolescent girls and boys, young women and men, in and out of school,
consistent with their evolving capacities, and with appropriate direction and guidance from parents and legal guardians, with information on sexual and reproductive health, gender equality and women’s empowerment, human
rights, physical, psychological and pubertal development and power in relationships between women and men, to enable them to build self-esteem and informed decision-making, communication and risk reduction skills and
develop respectful relationships, in full partnership with young people, parents, legal guardians, caregivers, educators and health-care providers in order to protect them from violence;”
The GPVPE is continuing to reach out to all nations to encourage them to implement this type of curriculum and educational programming. The GPVPE is also working to acquire sponsors worldwide with to bring its own
YouthAlert! (YA!) Program - A Child and Youth Violence, Bullying, and Abuse, Prevention/Health Education Curriculum to as many children youth worldwide as possible. YouthAlert! (YA!) has already brought this in-school multi-day program to over 10,000 U.S. youth.
The international GPVPE also has its own website on the U.N. Partnerships for the SDG's......
