TFP is working to ensure that all children in Palestine have access to quality education. Through this project, TFP seeks to expand its climate education work to reach a larger number of teachers and students in marginalized Palestinian schools in the West Bank. The project will train teachers, support student-led environmental initiatives, and promote practical learning, environmental awareness, and leadership in schools facing limited resources and environmental challenges.
Many Palestinian students have limited access to climate education, environmental activities, and practical school initiatives. In marginalized communities, schools often lack trained teachers, tools, and safe spaces for students to explore issues such as water scarcity, pollution, waste, and limited green areas. Teachers also need training, resources, and practical models to integrate climate education into daily classroom learning.
Teach For Palestine will implement a school-based climate education initiative in 30 schools, training 60 teachers and supporting student-led environmental projects. The project will provide educational materials, environmental kits, and establish green school clubs. Students will engage in recycling, water conservation, school greening, innovation projects, and awareness activities, helping them build leadership skills and become active change-makers in their schools and communities.
