LMF Youth Farming Project Report September 2024

By Mercy Egbuchulam-Onyianta | Project Leader

Dear Esteemed Members of Our LMF Team of Heroes,

It is with immense pleasure that I present to you the progress report for the Youth Farming to

Eliminate Hunger project for September 2024.

Our dedicated youths have been working tirelessly, making significant strides in their farming

endeavors. Their achievements include:

- Farm Maintenance: Ensuring the ongoing health and productivity of our vegetable farms.

- Weeding and Pruning: Clearing overgrown trees to optimize growth conditions.

- Harvesting: Successfully gathering cucumbers and other vegetables.

- Soil Preparation: Preparing new beds enriched with poultry manure and eagerly anticipating

rainfall for the next planting phase.

- Manual Inspection: Carefully monitoring the growth of pepper plants and raising beds to

prevent nutrient leaching.

- Future Planning: Strategizing for effective farm irrigation during the dry season.

Our young farm students are diligently applying the modified techniques they have learned,

showcasing the project continued growth and success. They have mastered the art of dividing

farmland into mini-farms, implementing a divide and conquer strategy that allows for more

efficient and productive farming.

The impact of mini-farming extends far beyond mere food production. It contributes to both

physical and mental well-being, fostering a sense of accomplishment and self-sufficiency. To

support their efforts, we provide monthly stipends to meet their basic needs. This vital support is

made possible through your generosity, for which we are profoundly grateful.

As we look ahead, we ask you to consider making monthly donations. Not only do these

contributions ensure consistent funding throughout the year, but new recurring donations also

earn a one-time 100% match after four months. Every contribution, no matter the size, plays a

crucial role in helping our youths achieve lasting success.

Consistent support is key to sustaining this impactful work. We encourage you to share this

report with your network and invite them to join in supporting this worthy cause. Together, we

will continue to create meaningful change, one village at a time.

Once again, thank you for your thoughtfulness, kindness, and generosity. You are an invaluable

part of LMF’s Team of Heroes, and our youths are forever grateful to you. May you always

remain blessed.

We will continue to keep you informed of the project and progress. Should you have any comments, questions, or suggestions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to assist in any way we

can.  God Bless you and yours, Amen!

With heartfelt gratitude,
