In honor of this year's GivingTuesday, Y-WE would like to express our heartfelt thanks to YOU for investing in young women's leadership! This year 400 girls & women have had the opportunity to set and meet goals for their futures; find mentors; learn from difference; and ignite change in their communities! Here's what two of our amazing young leaders would like to say to you:

I am thankful for all the lovely women at Young Women Empowered that are true friends, encourage us, motivate us, and push us to do better in life. I am grateful that I know all of you! Thanks again for the opportunity that Y-WE has given me. It’s always an honor to be part of your team. ~ Fatmah is a sophomore in college and is studying architecture and interior design. She just landed her first internship in Seattle at a design firm!

I am grateful everyday for what YWE has given me. So glad I have this opportunity as a Facilitator in Training to help empower the beautiful young women of Y-WE. Thank you! ~ Maddie is a high school senior and is currently applying for college while soaring as a track star!

Both Maddie and Fatmah are alumnae who have participated in Y-WE programs for more than 3 years. They are now part of an elite leadership team that is being trained to facilitate our programs! By empowering our graduates to lead Y-WE we are truly living our mission. We are so proud of the two of them for using their skills to empower the next generation of young women in need. They are proof of the statistic that by investing in education and economic opportunity for girls, we can change the world! It is proven that girls will reinvest 90% of the skills they gain through program like Y-WE back into their communities. Thank you for helping to make this cycle of positive change possible!

Y-WE GIRLS REPORT:

  • 90% - Growth as a leaders
  • 90% - Improved self-care
  • 97% - Learn from difference
  • 98% - Increase self-confidence
  • 100% - Feel safe and accepted at Y-WE

You can still help us reach our GlobalGiving goal for the end of the year by giving the gift of leadership. We have less than $6,500 to go! Funds raised will provide scholarships to girls in need. CLICK HERE to make your donation

With Heartfelt gratitude from all of us on #GivingTuesday! Wishing you and yours a wonderful giving season!
