Dear Donors,
We are working with several orphanages in the Philippines to provide the kids with weekly lessons and services.
All the homes we work with are learning English with the help of Night ZooKeeper, a learning software provided by YouMeWe. The kids are learning fast and always look forward to the next class.
We are also teaching the kids about digital citizenship and preparing them to use the internet and social media responsibly. Now that the kids are out of school for summer break we are offering them extra programming lessons twice a week to teach them how to make and develop their own software.
Dear Donor,
Thank you for your continued support. Your support has made it possible for us to equip the Nazareth Home and Thanan Ng in Manila with computers. We have also provided laptops to the ALS project in Boracay as well as funding the monthly Wifi costs.
We are teaching weekly at the homes weekly Digital Citizenship lessons by Common Sense Media. Volunteers from the USA, Japan, and the Philippines have teamed up to make this happen.
We are in talks with a local foundation to create a project called IT on Wheels where we look to fit out a bus with monitors, a keyboard, stools, and a large screen monitor to drive out into the province to teach coding and Digital Citizenship principles.
We are also collaborating with our team on the ground who are teaching Filipina nurses to pass the Japanese Nurse Examination as we recruit Ambassadors in Japan who have aged out of the orphanages to be Japanese language conversationalists.
All of these efforts are to help YouMeWe in our efforts to be a Social Impact Organization. With more people over the age of 65 per capita in the world, all the more reason we should be looking for more nurses globally. The current demand is close to 1,000,000.
This is in addition to the fact that there are many multicultural children living in the orphanages and by holding international sessions, they are able to realize they are double the culture and double the person.
These efforts are leading YouMeWe and its Empower Village which is focused on recruitment services to create a sustainable income flow for the NPO to continue its work.
Please help us to raise additional funds by sharing our project with your network as we have a chance to grow the contributions through the week of April 3rd.
Thank you and will keep you posted.
Regards,
Michael Clemons

Our work in the Philippines if more focused on the Social Impact purpose of YouMeWe. Japan has more people over the age of 65 per capita in the world and less under the age of 15. Hence the demand for nurses in Japan is close to 1,000,000.
We feel there are great opportunities for South East Asian Youth, specifically Filipino children and nurses who are looking for a future in Japan.
We have partnered with ALS in Boracay who is teaching children who were taken out of school during the pandemic to help their families economically. We also are connected to a local group educating nurses to be able to pass the Japanese exam and enable to help them come to Japan to be employed.
Another aspect of our connection with the Philippines is the fact that many children in orphanages in Japan are multicultural and have Filipino parent(s). We want the kids in the homes to connect with their other culture and see themselves as double as opposed to "Half Japanese".
The nurses and students in the Philippines need to have Japanese language conversation practice BEFORE coming to Japan. This is an area where the kids we work with could get certified and teach the language and utilize the NightZooKeeper software.
We are also looking to build a prototype of IT on Wheels, please see the YouTube link about the bus we are looking to build and keep in Manila but roll out to the provinces to teach coding and language to children in the provinces.

Thank you for your continued support

We spent a lot of time developing the project plan around "IT on WHEELS" which is a concept about a computer bus which can be fitted out and then driven into the provinces to teach coding and language skills.
We stopped in to visit Nazareth home which houses young ladies and then a new home which houses young men and took laptops for them to connect to the wifi.
COVID was a serious issue for many people who ended up pulling their children from school in order to man their local businesses or help out. As a result the children are falling behind and attending ALS (Alternative Learning System) whom we are trying to help out in Boracay through our Collaboratory there.
In Japan where we have more people over 65 per capita in the world and less under 15 per capita in the world, the possibility of the children in the homes helping to teach Japanese conversation to the future nurses and employees who would like to come to Japan to work is a highly appreciated social impact project.
This coupled with the fact that many of the children in the homes are multicultural with connections to the Philippines. These courses help them not feel "half" but DOUBLE as they are double the culture hence double the person.
Thank you so much for your continued support.

We are continuing different configurations to the office in Boracay due to Corona and our partners challenges with online teaching.
Meanwhile we have opened the office in Manila and have transported laptops to a local orphanage in Las Pinas, Manila near our office.
Online teaching will commence as we seek to build an IT on Wheels bus in order to have a mobile classroom to take the teaching of tech into the provinces.
The homes in the Philippines have a vast number of children who are in need of connectivity in this information society. Of a country of over 100,000,000 and growing there are just as many Facebook accounts showing that they are very much keen to stay connected and be part of the Digital Citizenship training we provide.
Many children in the homes we support are half Filipino by birth and we feel this project will help empower them to feel "double" by teaching Japanese language and culture online to our students in this Collaboratory.
Thank you for your support,
