By Mark Bradford | Project Leader
Far from taking a break over the summer, our activity groups for carers go from strength to strength, with your generous contribution to our project helping us launch 3 new groups!
All of these new groups are being run by unpaid carers who are keen to share their skills and passions with fellow carers.
Local carer Rosalind is currently running an online study group on the Shakespeare play Romeo and Juliet that will culminate with the group getting a free ticket to see a performance of the play at the Globe Theatre.
We also have Elena running an in-person knitting class and Yasmin running an in-person art class for carers throughout August at The Beethoven Centre in Queen's Park. Materials are provided for both the groups.
There are also other activity groups in the pipeline, including a new carer-led group on London’s history!
Thank you again for your generous support which has enabled us to continue running these activity groups for local unpaid carers, helping them to have a well-earned break from their demanding caring roles.
