CYDD is dedicated to enriching the lives of its university scholarship students and preparing them for their roles as active, responsible members of society after graduation.

One of the key initiatives within CYDD is the Contemporary Youth Central Unit, a dynamic structure that aims to raise awareness among young people about social issues, support them in developing projects rooted in active citizenship, and foster their growth through a strong culture of solidarity.

Operating across various cities in Turkey, the unit provides a platform—primarily for university students—to engage in educational, cultural, artistic, and social responsibility activities. Within this framework, young people not only contribute to their personal development but also take an active role in generating solutions to societal challenges.

The main focus areas of the Contemporary Youth Central Unit include equal opportunity in education, women’s rights, environmental awareness, and the promotion of scientific thinking.

All activities of the Contemporary Youth Central Unit (CGMB) are carried out by dedicated volunteer students. In addition to ongoing educational support initiatives—such as Step by Step (marathon fundraising), Festivities in the Village, Starfish, Coding Program, Mentorship, Pen Pals, the Contemporary Language Center, and Debate Clubs—the unit also plays an active role in organizing and contributing to the Türkan Saylan Youth Assemblies and the Türkel Minibas Youth Summer Camps. These annual events focus on discussing national issues and developing solutions through structured, theme-based programs.
