Dear donor,
CYDD founder Türkan Saylan’s dream was to give scholarships to 100,000 girls before the 100th year of our Republic. We are proud to announce that we have exceeded this number by the centenary of our republic.
The first scholarship Project of CYDD was named “Kardelenler- Snowdrops” as the snowdrop flower pushes itself out of thick snow and this we thought symbolizes the girls who fight to continue their education in spite of all the hardships they encounter in the society and in their families who want to marry them off at an early age.
Among these “Snowdrops” there are many who have continued their studies and have become teachers, doctors, nurses, lawyers, engineers, scientists and became role models in their communities. These Snowdrops came together to celebrate the centenary of our republic and shared their success stories.
During the same meeting a panel titled "Türkan Saylan's Daughters, Contemporary Turkey's Future Assurance" was held, where opinions on ensuring equal opportunities in education were shared.
We are proud of all our Snowdrops and continue to support an increasing number of girls with university scholarships thanks to your donations.
Kind regards,
