The ongoing conflict and societal collapse in Yemen has left the zoos in Taiz, Ibb and Sanaa extremely vulnerable. They face starvation, disease and an unsuitable living environment. The lack of resources and expertise to care for the animals exacerbates their plight.
The project will provide adequate nutrition for the animal species present in the zoos in Taiz, Ibb, and Sanaa. And establishing a model slaughterhouse in zoos. Providing refrigerators to store food, medicine and vaccines. Providing optimal health care for all animals in zoos (providing all requirements for preventive, therapeutic and diagnostic health care tools and materials, including devices, medicines, nutritional supplements, vaccines and vitamins.
The project will work to rehabilitate zoos in Yemen in a way that will help them continue to receive their visitors, whose presence depends largely on the services provided in the zoo that will be covered by the project, and thus it will have a strong financial stream that will help it continue providing its services in the long term.
