As part of the "Girls Empowerment Program", 51 girls aged between 14 to 25 years from Kannagi Nagar Slum Rehabilitation Colony have enrolled in a short term tailoring course. The course is being conducted in HOPE school premises right within the community as the young girls who are on holidays and other young women who are in need could access and benefit by learning to stitch their own dresses. To begin with, the girls have learned to stitch handkerchief, cloth bags, pillow covers and have proceeded to learn salwar suits for themselves.
Thanks to all those who have generously to contribute towards the development of the young girls and women.
