The past few months have been busy ones for WWO Europe! In October, we hosted an online seminar dedicated to working with disabled children, featuring a fantastic lineup of speakers who drew from their personal and professional insights.
In November our facilitation team convened at Eden Park Camp & Conference Center in Albania for strategic planning and fruitful discussions with national leaders. The experience was not only a refreshing time of team building, but also crucial in refining our organizational identity, and learning how we can best support our European national movements.
November also included four days of online Roadmap training, conducted in collaboration with the WWO global team.
Exciting developments are underway in Finland, where a national movement is taking shape. Most recently, they have begun embarking on a government-funded trauma training project. We look forward to the positive impact this will have on foster parents, volunteers, and countless children across Finland.
Fresh inspiration emerged from a group of Serbians who, after attending an ARFO (Romania Without Orphans) conference in Romania, are now actively planning a meeting in their own country. Witnessing more established national movements inspiring and assisting those in the early stages is exciting.
There is much to look forward to in 2024, including the WWO Global Forum in Chiang Mai. Click here for more details: https://worldwithoutorphans.org/forum/global-forum-2024
We take heart that every meeting, event, training session, and conversation represents a stride toward a world where children thrive in the security of a loving family. Will you continue to join us on this journey?
