Currently the leadership and the members of Mushuk Yuyay are working hard to finlize the prepararations necessary carry out a successful IX World Quinua Congress and VI Andean Grains Symposium. Daily meetings are conducted both locally and in major cities around Ecuador. Mushuk Yuyay is in communication with governement officials locally, provincially, and nationally. They are also meeting with NGOs, foundations, and agencies in their efforts to solidify support. Local businesses, community groups, and schools are part of this coalition working to make the event a great success.
The results of this work will include greater publicity for the Association, broadened reach for the products, increased production of quinua and other grains, as well as lasting collaborations to improve Mushuk Yuyay's influence and effectiveness in the region. This all translates into economic stability and improved food security.
