Mushuk Yuyay continues to find support for the Congress among governement officals and business leaders as well as university administrators. Local mayors, the provincial governor, and national ministry officials are lending support. The National Institute of Agricultural Research has collabotated with the planting of two new varieties on quinua on the Mushuk Yuyay farm. These varieties are also planted as seedlings in the greenhouse for distribution to farmers around the area. The local communities have organized savings and loan associations to facilitate planting and harvesting in the mountain ecosystems. These associations are receiving support from TCP Global, and international NGO that has experience with community savings and loan groups. Construction is proceeding on accomodations and meeting halls, and arrangements are being made for transportation and broadcasting systems. We have formed a committee of Mushuk Yuyay supporters to reach out for more monetary resources which will flow through GlobalGiving. We welcome all support. The donors will be honored at the World Quinua Congress for their generosity.
