Dear Friend,

Firstly, we wish you a very happy and productive 2023! Our 2023 so far has been busy with several international school programmes, conservation festivals and cultural events!

Most importantly we were able to meet up with the mangrove women’s group and hand over the donations we had raised on their behalf from kind people like you! They were thrilled to receive more funding to put towards their mangrove planting activities. We also were able to fund their participation, along with other community groups, at the Diani Regatta, an annual cultural festival held in Kenya. They were provided space to showcase their products and to speak about their work restoring mangrove forests.

The mangrove women’s group continue to thrive and our team are incredibly impressed by their dedication and passion. We will continue supporting their amazing work and we are proud to take this journey with them. We ask that you also continue supporting them by donating whenever you can. Mangrove forests are highly important for both the environment and people, it is important that we continue to support grassroots projects such as this, as without them such ecosystems would be susceptible to development and other damaging activities.

This year we plan to further support the group through alternative livelihood business opportunities and business training. We will continue to run multiple education programmes over the coming months through our partnership with Camps International. This will mean more funding to support our work with local school groups and community groups such as the mangrove women.

To keep updated with what we have been up to in the last couple of months, please check out our newsletters by visiting our website (link below).

Thank you for taking this journey with us.

Yours sincerely,

The CES Team
