Did you receive a certificate of appreciation?

Hello mangrove lovers!

We are happy to report we have had a busy few months engaging students and communities in conservation activities. You may have also received a certificate of appreciation from us for your very generous donation towards mangrove restoration. We provide everyone who donated towards the planting of new mangroves a certificate, so you can see how you contributed towards this vital project! If you did not receive this, please let us know!

Here's a breakdown of what we have been up to in the last quarter;

  • In August, we finished our summer programme with international students from Camps International. In total we completed 15 beach clean ups, removing over 35,000 items of trash.
  • In September, we participated in the International Coastal Cleanup celebrations. We also returned to our weekly sessions on marine conservation at a local women's college.
  • In October, we joined forces with the Bahari Huru festival. They joined us in Kwale County to perform a drama piece on ocean conservation. This was a incredibly successful weekend with over 300 attendees. We also conducted a beach clean up, removing over 230kg of trash!

We are planning a visit to our wonderful mangrove partners in January to deliver the next donation. Once we have done this we will be able to report back on how they used the funds to further mangove conservation.

Please do get in touch if you have any questions.

Thank you from all of us at Conservation Education Society!
