The piglets distributed to our village farmers are growing well. The Livestock Committee is checking in with these farmers quarterly to monitor the health of the piglets and offers advice, as needed. The vaccine system is running well by this livestock committee to ensure the pigs remain healthy and thrive. Pig peer-to-peer discussion workshops provide new farmers with support from those with more experience raising swine.
This continues to be a very successful program supported by Shanta Foundation to provide women with a sustainable livelihood. We are so grateful to the Muditar staff for their commitment to reaching these rural villages in order to provide support despite the political upheaval taking place in Myanmar today.
