As we move forward with the Women-Led Agri Solutions for Nigeria project, we are pleased to share steady progress in implementation. While still in the growth phase, the foundation we’ve laid is beginning to yield meaningful results.
Program Progress
Our mentorship component is actively underway, with women farmers now connected to experienced mentors providing guidance in agribusiness management, climate-smart practices, and financial literacy. Early feedback shows increased confidence among participants, particularly in record-keeping and market planning.
We have also begun preliminary capacity-building sessions, introducing practical knowledge that participants can apply within their local farming contexts. Preparations are ongoing for expanded hands-on workshops in the coming months.
Partnership conversations continue to advance, strengthening our local network and positioning the program for broader community reach. These collaborations are key to ensuring long-term sustainability and post-harvest support.
Additionally, we are preparing for the distribution of essential starter resources, which will enable participants to translate learning into tangible agricultural outputs.
Funding & Next Steps
While we have made encouraging progress, we are still actively seeking additional funding to scale the project’s reach, expand training opportunities, and provide more comprehensive starter kits to participating women farmers.
Our next phase focuses on deepening mentorship engagement, expanding into additional rural communities, and strengthening pathways to market access and cooperative development.
