Commencement of the 1^st phase of the project

The AVI Women Goat Ranch For A Sustainable Livelihood Project launched a fundraising campaign on GlobalGiving in February 2026 to raise $3500 to undertake a goat ranch project to provide sustainable income for 50 vulnerable women and their families who are affected by climate change and illegal mining in Ghana. Currently, the project has:

Funds raised on GlobalGiving: $150
Funds raised through a grant from Akuraase $4500
Commenced the 1^st phase of the project on 3^rd September 2026, which included the excavation, clearing bushes and removal of stumps. Profiling of the structure is also expected to be completed by December 2026.
