About the Women Goat Ranch For A Sustainable Livelihood Project
The project seeks to raise $3500 to help provide sustainable income for 50 vulnerable women and their families who are affected by climate change and illegal mining in Ghana. The project will construct a modern goat ranch facility that can house 100 to 800 goats, providing training, veterinary support, and purchase 30 improved breed goats to start a goat ranch
Activities Undertaken
The AVI Women Goat Ranch For A Sustainable Livelihood Project launched a fundraising campaign on GlobalGiving in February 2026 to raise $3500 to undertake a goat ranch project to provide sustainable income for 50 vulnerable women and their families who are affected by climate change and illegal mining in Ghana.
Currently, the project has:
1. Raised $150 on GlobalGiving
2. Concluded all major stakeholders’ engagements
3. Visited and mapped the site where the proposed project will be undertaken
4. Minor work on land preparation is scheduled to commence in June 2026
