Difficulties of Fundraising report

By Leon Simwerayi | Executive director

Our fundraising has not progress, we still have difficults to get more donations for our project

So we would like to request for more support on how to get donations for this project,

We would like to apply to more call for proposal, Hope in Crise Fund, and others

It seems that our country DRCongo is not elegible for many donors,

Challenges in Mobilizing Funds for IDP Women Humanitarian Reliefs in Goma

Mobilizing funds for humanitarian projects in conflict-affected regions like Goma is undoubtedly a complex task. Here are some of the primary challenges:

1. Competition for Limited Resources:

  • Global Humanitarian Crises: Numerous global crises, such as those in Syria, Ukraine, and Yemen, compete for donor attention and funding.
  • Overwhelming Needs: The scale of humanitarian needs in the DRC, particularly in conflict-affected areas like Goma, is immense. This can make it difficult to secure sufficient funding for specific projects, especially those targeting marginalized groups like IDP women.

2. Security Concerns:

  • Operational Challenges: Security concerns can hinder the implementation of projects, making it difficult to attract donors who may be wary of the risks involved.
  • Logistical Hurdles: Insecure environments can increase logistical costs and complexities, further reducing the amount of funding available for direct aid.

3. Transparency and Accountability:

  • Donor Scrutiny: Donors often require stringent accountability measures to ensure that funds are used effectively and ethically. This can be challenging in complex environments with limited infrastructure and capacity.
  • Corruption Risks: Corruption and mismanagement can erode donor confidence and deter potential funding sources.
