After our highly successful fund raiser, we were able to purchase a top of the range Draegar Incubator for babies. We had originally set our sites much lower, but thanks to the generosity of our donors, we have secured enough funds to buy 2 incubators and also quite remarkably fund a paediatrician on a part time basis for 1 year. This latter news has already increased confidence amongst the local pregnant mothers that their babies-to-be will have a safe environment to be born into, with expertise available if something were to go wrong.
We will post some pictures of our progress over the coming months, and hope to secure full time staffing in child health nursing which will complement the equipment purchase.
