We are building a specialist centre dedicated to women and children in an area of India where this type of specialist service is not available. The centre will not only provide medical care but also work to instil a concept of disease prevention within this group. We are trying to achieve this through education and support within the local communities. We urgently need 2 incubators costing a total of 2,000 GBP.
Mothers and their newborn children are dying. Special care baby incubators will improve survivial.
Two incubators will improve the newborn babies' chances of survivial. In addition, if pregnant mothers know of our plan to provide health related education and healthcare to the community, this will have a positive effect.
Our project will have a medium to long term sustainable health awareness impact. This will teach generations about the value of education in health. This is a cost effective model and will help thousands per year.
