Dear Friends, it is a pleasure to communicate with you. We want to thank you in advance for the support you have given us in these last two GlobalGiving campaigns. As mentioned, your contributions will greatly help us continue our work, accompanying and strengthening local organizations. On this occasion, we are happy to share the behind-the-scenes work of our foundation in recent months. Every day we strive and work hard to continue to grow and increase the positive impact.
Follow-up and strengthening of the Amigo Organizations 2023
In March, we signed collaboration agreements with the nine selected local organizations executing projects within the incidence areas of ASC (health, education, and environment):
On the other hand, thanks to the Inter-American Foundation's support, in April, Amigos was also able to increase support for six local groups:
We can contribute to the projects during the year through financing and close accompaniment. Also, this year, we have supported further organizations with the strengthening project, which seeks to enable organizations to improve in areas or topics they consider pertinent through expert training and technical assistance.
In June, we have also begun to prepare the entire process for calling for and selecting projects for this year.
Special and follow-up visits to the projects.
On May 11, we made a special visit so that more people could learn about some projects and organizations; in it, we had the opportunity to learn more about the work of Sanando Heridas, the "Barrio Bravo" Popular Autonomous Gymnasium and Moxviquil and ask them our concerns. During this visit, we visited the headquarters and the places where they carry out the activities. On the other hand, follow-up visits are carried out twice a year as part of the accompaniment to the organizations; they show the progress of the projects. These visits are in July, and the second will be in November.
Strengthening workshop for organizations
As part of the foundation's work and the commitment to strengthening organizations, we have held a Fundraising workshop this year so that local organizations have more tools and knowledge to obtain resources. On June 6, we gave the seminar "The ABC of collective funding or crowdfunding of Amigos de San Cristóbal" 26 people participated in this workshop, 14 in person and 12 through Zoom. In it, we share tips, experiences, and steps to carry out a crowdfunding campaign.
Fundraising campaigns
One of the central activities of Amigos de San Cristóbal is to constantly seek resources to be able to sustain the work of the organization and increase funds for friendly organizations. We have carried out two crucial campaigns from March to June—the Customer Contribution Campaign with Soriana Fundación and the LittlebyLittle and Bonus Day campaigns with GlobalGiving.
We are very grateful to the Soriana Fundación for allowing us to participate once again, and for the second consecutive year, in the Soriana Customer Contribution Campaign; during March to June, the cashiers of the Soriana hyper store of SCLC supported for customers to donate their pennies at checkout. During this time, we encouraged and helped the cashiers in this work, publicized the foundation's work in the store, and spread the campaign on our social networks.
We have also worked so they can support us in the GlobalGiving digital campaigns, which have been very valuable in multiplying donations. Thanks to them, we have obtained more support to continue our work. Thank you very much!

Alliances
For the growth of Amigos de San Cristóbal, it is essential to form alliances and receive training on different topics. Two critical networks for this have been Comunalia (Alianza de Fundaciones Comunitarias de México) and REDECIM (Red de Cooperación Internacional Mexicana); this year, we have renewed our participation with each of them. Our director actively participates in the Comunalia Capacities committee, and the team participates in constant training on different topics of institutional strengthening both in Comunalia and REDECIM.
Thank you very much for reading us and continuing to support us. We send you a big hug and will soon give you more news from Amigos.
