Preparing to Protect Families Before Winter Arrives

By Faiz Alali | Projects Leader

Dear Supporter,

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported our Winter Relief for Gaza and Syria campaign.

Although winter may still seem far away, the reality for displaced families is that preparation cannot wait. For families living in fragile shelters, damaged tents, and overcrowded displacement sites, the next winter season represents a serious challenge that requires early planning and support.

This project is still in its initial phase, and fundraising efforts are actively ongoing.

The support received so far is helping us begin the critical preparation process needed to deliver winter assistance to vulnerable families in Gaza and Syria before severe weather conditions arrive.

Current activities are focused on planning, coordination, identifying priority needs, and working with local partners to prepare for future distributions. These early steps are essential to ensure that winter support reaches the most vulnerable households efficiently and with dignity when assistance is needed most.

The needs remain significant.

Thousands of displaced families continue to live in temporary shelters that provide little protection from harsh weather conditions. Many parents remain concerned about how they will keep their children warm and safe during the colder months ahead.

Our goal is to provide winter assistance that helps families better withstand seasonal challenges through essential relief items and support services tailored to the realities they face.

However, substantial funding is still required before implementation can begin at the scale needed.

Every donation received today helps us prepare for tomorrow. Early support enables better planning, stronger coordination, and a more effective response when winter conditions arrive.

To our current supporters, thank you for believing in the importance of acting before a crisis becomes even more severe.

Your generosity is helping us prepare a response that prioritizes dignity, protection, and care for families who have already endured years of hardship and displacement.

As fundraising continues and preparations advance, we look forward to sharing future updates on the progress of this initiative and the impact your support will help create.

Together, we can ensure that vulnerable families enter the next winter season with greater safety, comfort, and hope.

Thank you for standing with the people of Gaza and Syria.
