Donate warmth - together we can ensure that 100 forcibly displaced Afghan families from Pakistan and Iran get through the cold season this winter! Millions of Afghans are currently being forcibly deported from Pakistan and Iran - many of them have spent their entire lives outside Afghanistan and are now returning to a country where they have no home, no income, and no support. If we take action now, we can provide these families with essential food and resources. Will you join us?
Afghanistan is a country of climatic extremes - while droughts destroy harvests in the summer months, the winters are icy cold - temperatures can go down to minus 30 degrees. At the same time, more than 4 million Afghans have been forcibly deported from Pakistan and Iran since 2023, with 2.43 million this year alone. Many of them return destitute: without money, without shelter, without social networks - and face nothingness in the freezing cold.
With Visions for Children we are starting a humanitarian winter emergency relief this year and are supplying particularly vulnerable households in Balkh province with food and necessities. Each package consists of 50kg flour, 24kg rice, 7kg beans, 3kg pasta, 2kg tomato paste, 1kg tea, 7kg sugar, 10l oil, children's formula, a stationery set, and a warm blanket. It can cover the needs of a family of 5 for 2-3 months.
With our Winter Relief Campaign together with our long-term local partners, we have the opportunity to ensure the survival of 100 displaced families during the winter in Afghanistan. Your donations will help these families get through the winter safely and send a strong message of solidarity. We will not abandon Afghanistan-we stand with the Afghan people!
