By Nancy Brown | Founder, President and Project Leader
Dearest Supporters,
Please accept my heartfelt apology for the tardiness of this report. I am so sorry that I have been unable to keep you updated in a timely fashion.
Two computers decided to crash within a week of each other. While our computers have been replaced by the generosity of friends and supporters, a lot of information was lost. We are slowly recreating information from old back ups.
Thank you for your patience.
Now, for the good news! The storms in October gave way to a mild but cold December and early January, then the snows hit! 18 inches of snow on the ground makes like a little difficult for two leggeds, but the animals enjoyed it tremendously.
Since our last update, we have rescued Kaite, Mickey D., Snowflake, Gabriel, Shultz and are working on The Michigan 5. Yes, 5 at one time are coming in, as soon as we can finish containment for them. We have said goodbye to Cyrus, Missy, Navajo and Kaos. The Circle of Life and Death is ever present in the world of Rescue.
Our residents range from 50 to 60 at any given time. The average age of our residents is 11, so we have the senior center at this time, with 37 animals over the age of 10. We feel so Blessed that the wolfdogs in our care are kept healthy and vibrant because of your donations, and they 'Howl for Food' everyday!
Spring is just around the corner and we are gearing up for our Howl In season, starting in April. If you find yourself in the Black Mountain, NC area, please give us a shout. We would enjoy meeting you and having you see the wolfdogs that you help support.
With gratitude,
Nancy, Volunteers and Residents of Full Moon Farm Wolfdog Rescue and Sanctuary
