Our food storage pantry is empty and we are heading into winter! The reports are saying cold, snowy and long. Please help us fill the pantry. Your generosity has kept us going, and we are grateful.
We have some new faces here at Full Moon Farm Wolfdog Rescue. Let us introduce Karma, Kaite, Mickey D. and Lobo!
Karma was rescued from Orange County, California. She was seized by Animal Control after her owners were arrested. At the shelter, research showed a complaint against Karma for allegedly attacking and killing a cat. She was reported by someone as being a wolf, or a wolfdog, and a DNA test showed minute amounts of wolf DNA. After a trial, she was sentenced to be euthanized. A petition was started by animal activists to save her life, with more than 360,000 signers! At the 11th hour, an appeal, a stay was granted and ownership of Karma, the myth-understood husky was transferred to Full Moon Farm. She is a wonderful canine and we are happy she is here.
Kaite and Mickey D. came in from another rescue in AL where they lived their entire lives after the rescuer was diagnosed with cancer and had to undergo surgery and chemotherapy. They are both 12 years old and a welcome part of the 'senior center'. We are happy they are here and seem to be adjusting well. Please keep Debra in your thoughts and prayers.
Lobo was rescued by a dog rescue in VA and sent to Full Moon Farm. He is a great animal who has come a long way in the two months he has been here. Having spent his life on a chain, he enjoys leash walking with his favorite volunteers.
As we head into the winter, we hope that you will continue to support the animals who will HOWL for FOOD at Full Moon Farm, and help us keep the Pantry full!
