Dear Friends and Donors,
With all of the uncertainty in our world these days, we want you to know that Full Moon Farm remains dedicated to its mission of helping wolfdogs find a peaceful place to call home, with plenty of good food, medical attention, lots to do, and favorite spots to hang out while napping in the sun.
Over the past few months, we have assisted with rescues for animals in peril, including 2 hoarding situations in TN, incapacitation of an owner in SC, owner in crisis in NJ, misidentification in IN and running at large in VA. Each time, Full Moon Farm answered the call, sending help for those in need.
Our all-volunteer staff and board of directors give their time generously and work tirelessly in support of our sanctuary animals. We pay no salaries, but meeting our monthly bills for dog food, medical care, utilities, vehicles and repairs remains a challenge. At this time, fly traps, fly repellant, ointments and tarps increase our expenses. We are also trying to purchase a tractor for our road maintenance! Our sanctuary vehicles need tires to provide reliable transportation for supplies and animals. We have been looking for a way to build a work/storage/cooler building that meets USDA standards to process food for the animals. This will enable us to take in donations of raw/frozen meat, prepare it, and store it. It is healthier for the wolfdogs and would help reduce thecost of feeding kibble. Also, as our animals age, our veterinary costs increase.
Most nonprofit organizations have dedicated fundraising staff and budgets, but we do not currently have those. At this time, our small number of personnel and limited time are devoted almost exclusively to rescue efforts and sanctuary operations. Because of this, we are asking you, our friends and supporters, to assist us in helping those who cannot help themselves. Full Moon Farm is very often the last resort for wolfdogs in need. Please help us make that last resort a safe, comfortable and happy one.
