The WildMed Fund pays for X-rays, medicine, and essential procedures such as orthopedic surgery, amputations, physical therapy, and CAT scans for injured wildlife. Donations to the fund go directly towards the care and treatment of the animals and the development of new programs and initiatives to protect and conserve wildlife in Costa Rica.
WildMed Fund provides medical care and rehabilitation to injured and orphaned wildlife in Costa Rica. The Toucan Rescue Ranch does not receive any government support, so we rely on donations to continue our work. The fund supports rescuing and rehabilitating animals such as toucans, sloths, monkeys, and other species impacted by habitat loss, human-wildlife conflict, and other threats.
The WildMed Fund provides the necessary resources to treat and rehabilitate injured and orphaned wildlife at Toucan Rescue Ranch. Donations help cover the costs of X-rays, medicine, CAT scans, orthopedic surgery, amputations, physical therapy, and other essential procedures. These donations support each animal from the initial medical treatment through recovery and, whenever possible, release back into the wild.
The WildMed Fund will strengthen Toucan Rescue Ranch's ability to respond to injured and orphaned animals over time by sustaining access to specialized wildlife medicine. Successful treatment and rehabilitation provide releasable wildlife with a second chance to return to the wild. Continued investment in veterinary care supports stronger wildlife conservation and the protection of Costa Rica's biodiversity.
