As the Where Angels Play Foundation's 2016 begins to take shape, we are focused on our first build this coming spring.
That will take place in Aberdeen, New Jersey, and be built in honor of a little boy named Owen Taraskiewicz. In 2013, three-year-old Owen passed away due to complications from a virus. During his life, Owen excelled on the playground despite having a significant language delay. To honor Owen, his family is working closely with the Where Angels Play Foundation to construct a playground at his former preschool - Cambridge Park School.
It is now our collective mission to provide Owen's school, and community, with a playground that is cherished and accessible to children of all abilities. With the groundbreaking coming at the end of April, honoring Owen is the perfect way to kick-off what will be an action packed year for the Where Angels Play Foundation. Other playgrounds are on tap, and we will tell each one of their stories as they unfold.
We thank all of our donors, no matter how big or small, for making these projects possible. They truly do make the world a better place - fostering a sense of love, compassion, and community like nothing else.
Stay warm this winter, and we'll see you on the playgrounds this spring...
