Thousands of families in rural Sri Lanka lack access to safe drinking water and depend on contaminated sources. This project aims to build 17 borehole wells to provide clean, reliable water for vulnerable communities. Safe water will reduce disease, improve health and sanitation, support children's education, and restore dignity and hope. Your support will help create a sustainable future for over 1,700 families.
Many rural communities in Sri Lanka lack access to safe drinking water and depend on contaminated or unreliable sources. This leads to waterborne diseases, poor sanitation, and daily hardship. Women and children often travel long distances to collect water, reducing time for education and work. Floods and droughts make the problem worse, leaving vulnerable families without a sustainable and safe water supply.
This project will build 17 borehole wells in vulnerable communities across Sri Lanka, providing safe and reliable drinking water to families in need. The wells will reduce dependence on contaminated water sources, lower the risk of waterborne diseases, and improve sanitation and health. Community awareness on safe water use and maintenance will help ensure a sustainable, long-term solution for over 1,700 families.
This project will create lasting change by providing sustainable access to safe drinking water for over 1,700 families in Sri Lanka. Clean water will reduce disease, improve health and sanitation, support children's education, and lessen the burden on women and caregivers. Community involvement and maintenance training will help ensure the wells remain functional for years, improving livelihoods and strengthening resilience for future generations.
