Bagshaw Museum, Batley, Uk.
It's two years since we began our crowdfunding journey with GlobalGiving. We are a small, grass roots community organisation. Quite simply put, we have been able to do more good stuff in our town, thanks to you.
And now, I am delighted to share further progress. Because of the generosity of GlobalGiving philanthrophy we have been able to secure a match-funding grant from Creative Minds This means that we can begin work alongside the Kirklees Council team at our fabulous Bagshaw Museum. We will support creative approaches to mental health and wellbeing. Two years ago, this would have simply been a dream!
Bagshaw Museum is set within 36 acres of parkland and ancient woodland and it is accessible to all. There's no better place and space to support our wellbeing, locally.
So, we will be launching this project at Bagshaw Museum on October, 18th this year. We will then launch our second crowdfunding campaign in early 2019, to support this work.
Two years ago, we began our GlobalGiving crowdfunding journey in support of activities for isolated older people at Howden Clough Community Centre. And you answered our call. I am delighted to report that the team at Howden Clough goes from strength to strength and they have secured additional funding to continue their fabulous work. I share, again, the 'Great Get Together' image from 2016 for our Jo Cox. Humbling and inspiring.
I will write once more, prior to launching our second crowdfunding campaign.
Your support has made this project happen. Thank you, Mark.
