2023 Season Update

There are lots of exciting things happening at WFSS! In this month's report: 2022-23 Season totals, Iron Giraffe Challenge recap, and another Amazing Supporters Feature!

2022-23 Season Totals

We are thrilled and honored to share that we achieved another successful season thanks to incredible supporters like YOU and our partnerships with UNICEF, Carter Center, and Norwegian Church Aid.

Here is a breakdown of the projects we completed:

  • 47 new wells drilled: 17,500 new beneficiaries of access to clean water
  • 91 wells rehabbed: 25,000 beneficiaries received updates to their existing well
  • 1,195 individuals trained (all received basic hygiene education training)
    Further breakdown of this group: 
    • 244 trained as pump mechanics

    • 325 trained on community hygiene education to share with fellow members

    • 626 trained as water user committee members - how to keep the well clean and safe for all

Iron Giraffe Challenge Recap

Our #IGC2023 Live Drawing took place last week! We had a record-breaking year, with over $630,000 raised and 352 schools uniting to make a difference in South Sudan. It was an unforgettable school year!
