This month the Webuye Youth Empowerment Center in the Western province of Kenya is training 76 students. The demand for training is so high that the courses are booked several months in advance and there are two students per computer. We never could have expected such as amazing turn out when other projects complain of lack of interest.
I believe the difference is in our grassroots empowerment model. This model ensures that we bring in the most deserving students from all over the constituency. With a population of almost 200,000 and an over 50% poverty rate, the youths immediately lined up to be included.
Your contribution ensures that we can continue training. We appreciate your support and solidarity.
God bless.
