Thanks to your support, 31 audacious grassroots women have made the journey of a lifetime to become empowered leaders and loudspeakers for their communities through World Pulse's fourth annual digital empowerment training program, Voices of Our Future. They have raised their voices on critical issues from the most forgotten regions of the world in order to increase awareness and bring their visions for change to life. From Iraq to Mexico, India to Nigeria, Ukraine to Tibet, we have witnessed their tremendous courage to overcome barriers and speak unheard truths.
“ I had ideas and a strong vision but no one was listening to me. No one was giving me a chance and here was a platform for me to put my qualitative voice into play and just be me.” 2013 Correspondent, Pelagia Muntuzi, Zimbabwe
We want to extend a special congratulations to three of the Correspondents, Greengirl, LatiNegra and Jampa who were selected to represent the 2013 Voices of Our Future class and our larger online community at the World Pulse Live media and speaking tour this fall. These three women will be traveling with the World Pulse team to cities in the US to share their experiences with you. Make sure to keep an eye for our report this summer for further details on the tour! We might be coming to a city near you!
We invite you to explore the assignments from the 2013 Program by clicking on the links below. Feel free to read or watch the incredible stories that the Correspondents have reported on.
