Voices of Our Future is World Pulse's new media, citizen journalism and empowerment training program. VOF is fostering a new generation of empowered grassroots women leaders with the skills they need to share their stories and innovative solutions with the world. We partners with the Global Press Institute, OpEd Project, and Sehrish Shaban. Each participant is paired with a personal editor to help hone her unique voice & a personal mentor to help map out and implement her vision for change.
Grassroots women leaders and entrepreneurs are an untapped source of innovation and solutions that will provide the key to solving global problems. Yet too often, global decision makers overlook their voices-and sometimes actually speak for them. A new generation of grassroots women leaders are coming online and they want the skills and tools to connect with allies and supporters to bring their stories, needs and solutions to the forefront of global awareness.
We provide 30 women from developing nations and conflict zones with training in web 2.0 and citizen journalism, publishing opportunities in major media outlets, and one-on-one mentoring.
Women citizen journalists empowered to use new media and technology to promote their voices and their solutions to global challenges and become leaders for their communities.
