More than three weeks have passed since the catastrophic floods devastated communities across Nepal, but for thousands of survivors, the emergency is far from over.
Search and recovery operations continue in some of the hardest-hit areas, while humanitarian teams are working to reach communities cut off by destroyed roads and bridges. Food, medicines, clean water, hygiene supplies, shelter materials, and other essential assistance continue to be delivered, including to remote and difficult-to-access locations.
The disaster has left an enormous human and physical toll. Families have lost loved ones, homes, livelihoods, and the basic security of everyday life. Children are among those facing the deepest consequences, with thousands needing protection and psychosocial support after experiencing loss, displacement, and trauma.
International assistance continues to arrive as Nepal moves from immediate rescue toward early recovery. Governments, UN agencies, humanitarian organizations, and donors are supporting emergency relief, restoration of critical infrastructure, health services, shelter, and longer-term recovery. The scale of reconstruction will be enormous, and affected communities will need support long after the disaster disappears from the headlines.
For SIKETIS NERGI, this is why our commitment to Nepal continues. Funds raised through this project remain dedicated to supporting the humanitarian needs created by this disaster. We are continuing our fundraising efforts while following the evolving needs on the ground so that the resources entrusted to us can be used responsibly and in accordance with the purpose of this campaign.
To every person who has already donated or shared our appeal: thank you for standing with Nepal.
The flood may have passed.
For the survivors, the struggle has not.
