Facing the climate crisis: stories of change and transformation
This year, as Fondo de Mujeres el Sur, we are celebrating a decade supporting women environmental defenders. In these decade, we have supported more than 300 initiatives from 93 organisations, led by indigenous, Afro-descendant, rural, and urban women in the Gran Chaco Americano region, the Atlantic Forest, the Puna, the wetlands and the Amazon.
Read Defensoras. Facing the climate crisis: stories of change and transformation, a publication we produced together with Fábrica Memética, in close collaboration with the activists and organizations whose stories appear within.
Defensoras compiles the stories of five organisations from Argentina, Paraguay and Peru. All of them focus on how to choose vital, community-based options to navigate the current climate crisis and consider other ways of living are possible.
