Water Wells for over 500 Families in Kano

Since the previous report, the Water Wells for over 500 Families in Kano project has continued to make progress toward its goal of providing reliable access to clean water for vulnerable communities. The project has a total fundraising target of $6,000, and current GlobalGiving records show that $700 has now been raised, representing approximately 11.7% of the overall goal. This leaves a remaining funding gap of $5,300 needed to complete the project.

The funds raised so far have supported preliminary site assessments, community mobilization, and technical planning for the planned construction of five deep-borehole wells. However, the project has not yet reached the funding level required to proceed fully with drilling, installation of durable hand pumps, water quality testing, and hygiene education. With the project expected to benefit more than 4,000 people across vulnerable communities, additional financial support remains urgently needed. The project team continues to appeal to donors and partners to help close the $5,300 funding gap so that construction can move forward and families can gain sustainable access to safe and clean water.
