By Francis Osisiogu | Project Leader
Despite ongoing economic challenges and rising drilling costs, the Water Wells for over 500 Families in Kano project continues to make meaningful progress thanks to the generosity of supporters. Out of the $6,000 fundraising goal, $350 has already been received, leaving a balance of $5,650 still needed to fully complete the project. The current funds have supported preliminary site assessments, community mobilization efforts, and technical planning for the construction of the 5 deep-borehole wells. As fundraising continues, the project team remains committed to ensuring transparency and efficient use of every donation received. Additional support is urgently needed to cover borehole drilling, hand pump installation, water quality testing, and hygiene education activities that will directly benefit more than 4,000 people across vulnerable communities in Kano.
