Project now in full swing

Situation before the ram pump
Situation before the ram pump

We are happy to report that we have completed the social preparation of the project and have already delivered the initial materials last June 14. The technical team led by Andre Gallego and Community Development Coordinator Sheila Tabujara were both present during the set-up of our technical services personnel headed by Jose Glavez, the set-up was also the official start of the construction of the structures of the ram pump water system.

The delivery of materials from Bacolod arrived on June 16 with people from the community helping with the unloading and hauling of the materials to the project site. Jose Glavez will lead a team of local laborers from the community who will be involved in the project, we expect the project to be completed in 30 days with around 80% of the structures at the source to be completed by July 4. The target completion date will be around the 3rd week of July 2022.

By next week, the final delivery of materials will arrive on site together with a monitoring team from AIDFI. After completion of the project, preparation for the turnover ceremony will be coordinated with the local government and stakeholders of the project. The final date will be decided and will be communicated.

We would like to extend again our sincerest thanks to all the donors who have made this project possible, this project will benefit 151 people and help support the livelihoods of the hog raisers and the orphanage. Our gratitude also goes to the San Pedro Children's Home of Ms. Ruth Roa who has been so kind in providing accommodation for our team.
