Dear Friends,
Our last report on October 17th, captured the initiation of our 6th project for enhancing access to water among tribal families of Trimbakeshwar Block in Nasik district. The site for the 6th project is Village Belpali with a population close to 750.
The project involves the construction of a drinking water tank, connecting the tank to the village well and thereafter water being distributed into the village by way of individual stand posts fitted with taps constructed at various accessible points in the village.
So far as illustrated through the attached photographs, construction of a 10,000 litre storage tank is complete and so is its connection (through pipes and fitted with a pump) to the village well. 14 individual stand posts each fitted with a tap have been constructed. Work in progress includes:
1. Construction of concrete slab as cover for the drinking water tank
2. Construction of 4 more stand posts, taking the total number to 18
3. Connection of the tank to the individual stand posts
We hope to complete the above in the next ten days, operationalize same and hand it over to the villagers for regular usage.
Many thanks and we look forward to your continued support in the gifting season of Christmas using our very own Global Giving Gift Cards.
