The money collected through this platform is used to subsidize the aqcuisition of household water tanks with filters in order to have clean water for drinking all year round. The rest of the purchase price is paid through microloans in cooperation with the local savings bank ‘Zamuka Juru Sacco’ in Kabukuba / Rwanda.
In this round, approximately 30 beneficiaries will receive tanks with sizes of 10,000, 5,000 or 2,000 litres. The tanks and filters have been ordered and will be delivered in the course of April 2025. This enables households to have clean water without the need to carry water, which in most cases is not even clean, over the distance of many kilometres.
