$5 Brings Safe Water to Families in Bangladesh

Small Contributions, Meaningful Impact

We are pleased to share the initial progress of our “$5 Brings Safe Water to Families in Bangladesh” project. With the generous support of GlobalGiving donors, we have raised $130, of which $100 is still awaiting disbursement.

Despite limited available funding, Green Fund Initiative (GFI) has already supported two Water ATM users, helping them access safe drinking water through our existing community-based Water ATM facility in northern Bangladesh.

Progress and Challenges

Our Water ATM facility is operational, but many low-income families still cannot afford the basic Water ATM cards and water storage jars needed to access the service.

Although our progress has been modest, these first two beneficiaries demonstrate how small contributions can make a meaningful difference. Once the remaining funds are disbursed and additional donations become available, we hope to extend support to more vulnerable families.

Looking Ahead

Our goal remains simple: help more disadvantaged families access safe drinking water at an affordable cost.

With just $5, a donor can help provide a Water ATM card and water storage jar to one family. Continued contributions will allow us to expand this initiative and reach more households in need.
