During the war we TM committed to serving those displaced more speficically this time around. Noticing that many asked for medication, baby and adult diapers and for formula Triumphant Mercy choose to focus on these things. Since we had focused on medications there was one family in particular that came for help for thier disabled son. His elderly father was still caring for him and they had been displaced. But for them it wasn't so simple. A mattress on the floor was not a possibility for his son. So he had gone around to NGOs searching for someone who had the specific bed he needed. We called all our contacts and couldn't get a hold of one for him but we were able to give him the medication he and his son needed to help in our small bit.
But God had a different plan. About a week later a woman called. She mentioned that she had a bed that she wanted to donate. The staff member who took the call was the same staff member that knew the details of what the father needed for his son. She immediately said "yes we will take it!" She called up the father and told him when he could come get the bed for his son.
When he came our staff member was able to let him know that it wasn't us who found the bed but that God had sent it for him and we just got to be the delivery space.
Stories like these showed up again and again when we focused on these stories showing us it was God that was directing us to focus.
