It has been a busy season collecting non-perishable foods and toys for Tijuana. We always like to stock our adopted families cupboards with extra food through the holiday season.
Times are tough in Tijuana, though the economy is shaping up a bit in the US, it is still very difficult in Mexico. For example, gasonline is higher than it is in Southern California right now. Significantly! Whereas in recent past it was lower. But nonetheless it is very expensive for a car owner, who may depend on driving for his job, where he may only make an average of $12 a day. Gasoline is near $4 a gallon presently. If you do the math you realize that Christmas gifting is not on the list of priorities.
We hope to bless as many possible with added holiday cheer. We also want to provide a toy or something special for the little ones of the families we sponsor. Just a simple toy, game or clothing item can make a child smile. And many a smiles we get! I wish we could share each one with you! Especially since you helped put it there! We hope some of these photos and video produce a smile in you as well.
