Thank you so much for continuing to support the International Center for Research on Women's project on GlobalGiving!
ICRW has been busy since our last update. Gillian Gaynair wrote about her experience meeting child brides in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia. This blog was featured in the Huffington Post as part of their #GivingTuesday series.
Jennifer Abrahamson visited Haryana, India where ICRW is evaluating a government program that encourages families to keep their daughters in school instead of marrying them early. After her visit, Jennifer wrote about Savita Singh, an 18-year-old school girl who has dreams of working in the police force. Read more about Savita and her family on Too Young To Wed—a multimedia partnership between the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and premier photo agency VII. Her next story in the series will be posted on the ONE Campaign and ICRW'ssites soon.
As you can see, your backing is helping us raise awareness on child marriage. We thank you again for your generous gifts and can't wait to share more stories soon!
