YAPCEC (Youth Advocates for Peace and Community Empowerment Cameroon) , with mission to provide children and youths with relevant skills and knowledge that will empower them access opportunities to improve their lives and community, plans to provide basic human right relief support to the internally displaced crisis affected children, youths and women who hail from the south west region of Cameroon,to stay alive and regain education.
The over 3 years conflicts and crisis in the English Southern Cameroon has led to loss of lives,properties and internally displacement of families. Which has led to increase orphan children and youths living on the street, bushes with no parents, proper attention and vulnerable of picking arms. Instead of allowing them vulnerable and to reduce conflict ,YAPCEC will provide them with relief aids, formal and vocational educational training to fight poverty.
We train the children on formal education and youths on vocational skills such as computer, sewing, music, arts and craft, poultry,piggery ,painting, goat rearing, football, dancing and construction. Which will help them develop their capacity at an early stage to help them gain income generating strategies of becoming financial independent to further their career and business as a way of fighting poverty, preventing violence through community development and empowerment of others.
This project will accommodate, educate and train 100 children and youths,allowing them to learn relevant skills and knowledge which are self-reliance over time, and will enable them to stay nonviolent and fight poverty by empowering others and gaining financial independence to rebuild and develop their various affected communities once more.
