Please describe how the goals of the program were met: Project “Vocational Education for 500 women in villages” in Bobojon Gafurov district has started on April 1, 2020. In order to reach the goal of the project we created daily activity plan and conducted all events according that plan. The main goal of the project is educating girls and women on sewing, cooking, computer skills, driving skills and electric skills.
Please provide statistical data, number of events, number of participants, geographical coverage: Event 1 - 2 focus group meetings with 40 people in Isfisor and Chorukh-darron villages. Event 2 - 2 trainings for 20 active women and young girls of various ages on women`s rights, family psychology, the solution of a conflict situation and prevention of home violence. Event 3 - started conducting Sewing courses, Cooking courses and Computer courses for 30 women.
Please describe the kind of events organized; the issues discussed; the number of publications; the new contacts made: During reporting period, we conducted 2 focus group meetings in Isfisor and Chorukh-darron villages. There was a discussion of project agenda, women and government cooperation plan in partnership for successful implementation of the project goals and objectives. We carried out 2 trainings for 20 active women and young girls of various ages on women`s rights, family psychology, the solution of a conflict situation and prevention of home violence. During the training women were trained communication skills, to work with victims of violence in their communities, skills of leadership, voluntarily to help their community to be safe in the future. In April we started conducting Sewing courses, Cooking courses and Computer courses for 30 women.
Immediate output results: Please describe the impact the grant has had on your organization and the participants in the program activities, including evidence of change of attitude or knowledge, and public reaction: During the project implementation 30 women started Sewing, Cooking and Computer courses, 20 women got information on women`s rights, family psychology, the solution of a conflict situation and prevention of home violence. The project helps to continue the activities that the organization is dedicated to. The project is the realization of organization’s main goal and priorities in education of local citizens and creating opportunities for them for positive change. In addition, the project helps to make positive impact in the local community and open future perspectives for the organization.
Long-term impact/performance: Please describe the likely future impact of the program and what new plans or projects were conceived: In 12 more months we plan to educate 470 more women and girls in target villages. Sewing, Cooking and Computer, Driving and Electrician courses will be taught for 470 women.
Any problems encountered and how they were solved: Yes, there were problems with COVID -19 and we had to stop the lessons till July 1, 2020.
